The cable end caps are used for sealing the ends of all the types of heat shrink cables so as to protect it from water or moisture. These cable end caps are designed and manufactured using the high quality of cross polyolefin material. It is considered as most compatible with the cable jackets such as XLPE, PVC, PILC or Rubber Sheathed Cable. The hot melt adhesive lining on the end caps provide a permanent seal on the irregular cable sheaths. According to the Ingress Protection 68 or IP 68, end caps help us with:

The cable end caps are used for sealing all the un-energized cables so as to prevent the moisture from engrossing into the cables. These end caps that are manufactured at Classic & Co. provide a semi-rigid, self-extinguishing, thermally-stabilized cross-linked polyolefin material. Also, it comes with a hot-melt adhesive lining. The process that it follows to get it fixed is that the cable end caps should be placed around the cable end. Next thing should be done is to heat it to 120oC by using the soft-flame torch kit. When the heat is applied to the cable using a heat shrink gas torch, then the adhesive that’s in it gets melt and the cable cap then shrinks and forms up a perfect watertight seal.
